From I Don’t Know to Now The World Knows

“In order to attract even more foreign tourists, HCA improved its mangrove tour services by diving deeper into the world of fireflies; amassing as much information through local observation, reading as well as attending knowledge events, and sharing the knowledge. This enabled us to give interesting and finely detailed explanations about these amazing creatures, and this is what differentiated HCA from other operators. Foreign tourists are more interested in the concept of edu-tours (educational tours) and it is this concept that local operators need to offer in order to rank Malaysia as among the must-visit places on the world map. Besides that, collaboration with other product providers in the locality is also very important, so that there is a welcome diversity of local offerings. In turn that will attract tourism spending and raise the local economy and resident’s income. This is HCA’s firm belief in helping to form a sustainable tourism ecosystem in Cherating.” Mr. Mohd Hafiz Abdul Majid, Founder of Hafiz Cherating.

The Travel Company with a Twist of Hi-Tech and A Lot of Faith

“ARBA offers unique travel experiences, especially its tours package for overseas holidays. In fact, ARBA always promotes a difference in both inbound and outbound travel practices by the company as it ensures that all its packages offered must have these advantages; ‘No tourist traps’, ‘Super saving, budget or premium choices’, ‘Halal food and prayers cared for’, ‘Fully licensed and trusted’, ‘Joined tour or private tour’ and ‘Strategically located accommodation’. To fully optimise its work efficiency, ARBA approaches this aim by digitalising almost all of its work processes, thus enabling its workforce to concentrate on the most important activity; sales, which can then be truly focused on and done more efficiently. For ARBA, the harnessing of approved customer profiling data is very critical in ensuring that ARBA’s marketing campaigns are directed towards the most appropriate target groups.” Mr. Ammar Roslizar, Chief Executive Officer, Arba Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd.

Providing Cloud-based ICT Solution to Accelerate Digital Transformation

The road to becoming a successful I.T. company is full of hardships and challenges, let alone in becoming a Bumiputera I.T. company in Malaysia. We started with no real aim and only focusing on sustaining our business, but thankfully, we managed to grow the company to what it is now. Now, we can hire 72 staff and have developed more than 250 systems and applications. To keep ourselves updated with fast-paced technological advancements in the ICT industry, we must be highly adaptable without forgoing the timeliness in providing excellent service to our clients. This is difficult, if not impossible, to achieve if the culture of innovation is not fully embraced by our employees, even if various innovative initiatives were taken. I strongly believe that this culture is what allowed Aidan to endure, and its products trusted by our clients. More often than not, the culture of innovation has contributed to the product revolution that greatly helps in accelerating the digital transformation in our clients’ sites. Mr Khairul Anwar Mohamad Zaki, Director, Aidan Technologies Sdn Bhd

Changing The Challenging Norms

Changing The Challenging Norms

Farm Fresh was determined to change that norm by supplying several batches of genuine fresh milk using any available transport, even a commercial bus at one time, to the retailers. Both Mr Loi and Encik Azmi realised the need to have a strong branding awareness and educate the public on the benefits of consuming genuine fresh milk. They created various aggressive promotional cum educational campaigns on fresh milk, mostly on social media to attract the young generations to consume fresh milk for a healthier diet.

A Milky Fresh Beginning on a Local Farm

Becoming the main manufacturer of a product without a sustainable ecosystem is not an easy feat. However, we saw a huge potential in producing our own milk and conducting a thorough deep market research of the local dairy industry to identify and resolve any issues that could impede our progress. In time, we were able to expand our farm, the number of cows, our staff and finally bring Farm Fresh brand to become a national-level product. We have also invested in several cold rooms and temperature-controlled vehicles to ensure Farm Fresh milk retains its freshness when shipped to the market shelf. To maintain our competitive edge, we have our own R&D unit to develop more products every year. Since we are dealing with resources from live beings, the welfore of our 5,000 genetically modified cows is extremely crucial and has to constantly be at optimal level. Mr. Azmi Zainal, Chief Operating Officer, Farm Fresh.
