Teaming Up to Open More Possibilities

Apart from the conventional cash and credit card payment system, all of Cibiuk outlets are equipped with multiple cashless payment systems, such as the Boost app and Touch n Go, in an attempt to provide the customers with convenience and flexibility to make their payment.Since the launch of the food delivery service provided by Grab in 2018, restaurants on Grabfood have also recorded an average increase up to 20% in revenue. Cibiuk tapped into this channel in order to stimulate its transaction growth during the identified low peak hours from the POS system and subsequently created a systematic operational flow that fully utilises the digitised platforms.

Digitalising Retail Business to Enhance Service Quality

Apart from the creation of effective marketing strategies, digitalising some of the business activities has also enabled the monitoring of our 8 outlets’ sales activities remotely. In addition, based from the sales data gathered in Slurp! POS system, the inventory and stock management also became smoother since RMCFI is able to create an accurate projection of required raw materials for a certain period of time. Furthermore, the data compilation from Slurp! greatly helps RMC to focus on critical areas of improvements, especially our food dan services quality which are highly regarded by our patrons. Ways to Improve the Production at the Farm

In an effort to improve the quality of its produce, the dripping irrigation system was implemented at the farm in 2004. The innovative approach helped the farm to yield better quality products and substantially reduces the percentage of reject rate. The dripping system irrigation is an underground system which uses pump and valves to transport the water. The water, which came from the 30.48 m boring water, is distributed to crops through a network of pipes that is manually controlled by the workers every morning. The new system managed to optimise the farm's daily water consumption since it only requires minimal amount of water.

Incorporating I4.0 Elements in Manufacturing Process

The K-One Mobile Application project was a result from K-One’s participation in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) PLUGFEST programme which was organised by the Electrical & Electronics Productivity Nexus (EEPN). K-One was among the selected 60 companies in the E&E sector to be included in this programme which aims to support, coach, prepare and enable them to carry out their own IIoT projects within their companies. The IIoT PLUGFEST programme was also joined by some of the big industry players, who have successfully implemented I4.0 elements in their organisations, to help facilitate the knowledge transfer among the participants; providing K-One with a valuable opportunity to gain more insights about IoT and how to integrate the elements in its work process.

Delivering Excellent Service via Continuous Improvements

“As a result from the Teach-In approach, several initiatives were implemented by PTG Johor and Land Offices (LO) to enhance their productivity level and the staff are also encouraged to embrace the innovative culture. By instilling this culture in their daily work routine, the staff would constantly be trying to improve their work process through various means using limited resources. Indirectly, this teaches them to be more critical in their work and grooms them to be a leader in their own way.” YB Dato’ Haji Mohd Halim bin Hasbulah, Director of State Land and Mines, Land and Mines Office of Johor, Pejabat Tanah dan Galian (PTG) Johor
