Cultivating Employees Values through Kaizen Achievement Recognition Programme (KARP)

In line with rapid changes in technology, UWC Holdings has formulated its own employees reward system to boost innovation amongst its employees called the KARP. In order to oversee the process and the reward system, the company has set up a committee for this purpose. UWC Holdings believes that a well-balance reward system must recognise the performance and behaviour of the employees based on values, vision and goals of the organisation while modifications must be done to make the entire process special and rejuvenation for the employees. This is to encourage creativity and efficiency of the employees during their working time while the incentives programmes aim to boost productivity.

A lean workforce allows companies to keep their payroll expenditure down to the core team. At the same time, this also enables companies to pay better compensation to their key personnel, which incentivises them to stay and perform even better. Also, a smaller team is easier to manage which leads to greater efficiency.

Small and Efficient, The Swedish Way

“In our organisation we talk a lot about ownership and responsibility. People without ownership over a specific task will not feel any responsibility for the results. We truly believe and work along the lines of making our partners grow, allowing us to grow with them. Give your colleagues, management team, partners and customers ownership and you will for sure see things growing. Sometimes in unexpected ways, but for sure they will grow!” Nils Bokstrom, CEO EBC Sverige Sdn. Bhd.
