Seeding the Green Initiatives

TAFS also practices several environmental sustainability approaches in its operation. One of them is to recommend incoming guests to only bring their toothbrushes and toothpastes, as the resort had already prepared the essential organic toiletries such as soap, shampoo, and hair conditioner in each of its lodge. The usage of organic products could reduce the carbon footprint and amount of diluted sludge mixed with inorganic wastes that would affect the forest ecosystem. Additionally, this eco-friendly resort also bans the use of non-biodegradable plastic within its premise to maintain the forest cleanliness.

Revitalising Malaysia Eco-Tourism at Tanah Aina Resort

“TAFS was first born out of my passionate love towards mother nature. But I also want others, especially nature lovers, to acknowledge TAFS as one of the most unique eco-resorts in the world. In order to achieve this, we have implemented many green practices to minimise the pollution including the usage of organic toiletries and natural air purifier in lodge and toilets, planting of new trees/plants around the resort, as well as the banning of single-use plastic.”
