Implementing 5S and the two Lean projects have enhanced employee awareness on the potential for improving existing work processes. Apart from keeping wastage to a minimum, it has encouraged the staff to employ teamwork and work as a cohesive group to solve any problem that may crop up. This will be an ongoing project as we are convinced it is effective as proven in many large Japanese corporations which have adopted such projects. Integration of IoT for Effective Monitoring of Heat Temperature
TF-AMD has to embrace I4.0 to ensure the quality of products manufactured meets and exceeds the customers’ expectations. E&E industry players should look at I.40 as an investment and something that should not be avoided. There are so many benefits and advantages that can be gained from conducting I4.0-based initiatives such as the IoT project in TF-AMD. We have successfully implemented a system that allows our ovens’ heat temperature to be monitored in real time thus increasing our product cycle time by 95% and reduced the reject rate to approximately 5%. Furthermore, this initiative also helps the staff to be more accountable of their actions and improved overall productivity to another level. Through this programme, Shopee monitors and facilitates the entire business transaction including store and customer management, product listing, promotions and order fulfilment. With this, sellers are able to store their products without worrying about limited storage space issues.
