High Performance Distribution Solution in E-commerce

PSB has recently planned and implemented a high-performance system extension, consisting of a shuttle warehouse with 10.000 storage locations for cartons and directly connected rotapick high-performance picking systems. Core of the existing system is a two-aisle automated small parts warehouse, connected with 16 order picking stations supplied by more than 800 static and dynamic flow channels and a pallet warehouse for replenishment with integrated control system for VNAs. E-Commerce Retailer Doubles Warehouse Capacity with Robotic Goods to Person System

A Missouri-based specialty apparel company was quickly growing and in need of a new facility or expansion. Bastian Solutions partnered with the e-commerce retailer to find a solution that would maximize the company's current space, while optimising labor and order fulfillment. The final solution included a cube-based storage system, called AutoStore, which utilises robots to retrieve and deliver goods to operators. They have special sensors to avoid colliding into each other and they can be summoned using wifi. When they run out of battery, they can take themselves to a charging station.
